Elisabeth was christened on April 6, 1642. Her godmother was the wife ofJohannes Holzklau. This was either Elisabeth, wife of Johannes Holzklau,Mayor of Siegen, or possibly Hebel, wife of Johannes Holzklau ofWeidenau, grandmother of Jacob Holtzclaw, the 1714 colonist. There wereseveral sponsorships of children between the Holtzclaws and theFischbachs later on in Germany, indicating a relationship, but what itwas is uncertain.
