Esther Hull, b. 17 Apr 1774 Newtown, Fairfield, Connecticut, bapt. 10 Jul 1774, Newtown. 5. Betty Hull, b. 11 Aug 1776 Newtown, Fairfield, Connecticut, d. 10 Sep 1857 Wilkesville (township), Vinton Co., Ohio, md. Rev. David Booth 6. Rebecca [sic] Hull, b. 17 Aug 1778 Newtown, Fairfield, Connecticut, md. ___ Stephens" The estate of Eliphalet Hull was administered by Alanson Northrop and Samuel Agur Judson, appointed 10 Jun 1800, with bond set at "two thousand dollars." His estate was valued at L 852.17.10, of which L 764.15.0 was in land holdings, as listed in the Inventory filed 22 Aug 1800 (the words Last Will and Testament are crossed out and replaced by Estate). An order was issued on 25 Dec 1800 to sell a portion of the real estate for L 64.10.3. The residue was divided among 5 daughters on 17th March 1801, recorded on 8th June 1801, in the Danbury district court. His land was located in Newtown adjoining Elijah Hull, his brother; Jonathan Prindle; Caleb Baldwin; John Beach's Heirs; Samuel Glover; Daniel and Samuel Beers; Gideon Kimberlay; Nathaniel Brisco's Heirs; and John Boyer's Heirs. Jolham [or Jotham] Sherman and Joseph Ferris were "appointed by the Honorable Court of Probate for the District of Danbury to Distribute the Clear Real Estate of Mr. Eliphalet Hull Late of Newtown Deceased to the amount of L688 equally among the Heirs." List of heirs as spelled and identified in the record: Anner, eldest dau. and wife of Allen Shepard; A portion of Lydia Northrop's share was the Dwelling House and Barn with about 4 acres, called the Homestead, one corner of which is described as, "to Highway to a heep of stone by the fence by a willer tree." Abiah Judson's share included, 1/1/2 acres of the 20 acre Lot, "beginning at the S Wly Corner of the Land set of to Anner Wife of Allen Shepard then South 4 1/2 rods on highway to heep of stone to the Land sold to pay debts" and "Also one equal half of Hulls Hollow so coled which containes about 11 acres which now is undivided and is owned by the said Heirs and Elijah Hull - one equal half is the amount of L22.0.0" [sic]. Anner Shepard's share included land at the East End of "Jeremey Hill" and about one half Land in the 20 acre Lot. Betty Booth's share included the whole of "wood lot on Great Hill," and "one peace of Land in the Hommedow" and about 7 1/2 acres of the 20 acre Lot. Rebekah Hull's share included 4 1/2 acres of the 20 acre Lot at the SW Corner of "Land lately oned by John Beach." The value of each of the 5 shares was exactly L 137.12.0. Image Gallery
