  • his cousin (Elias Ball of Wambaw Plantation) was an English sympathizer, so after the war, he forfeited his land and slaves and fled to England ; this Elias bought 100 of his slaves
  • 1786 - his father dies and he inherits Limerick and Comingtee plantations and 62 slaves from Kensington Plantation
  • after the war, he settled on Limerick Plantation
  • early 1800s - purchased Pimlico and Keckliko plantations
  • by 1805 - owned at least 500 slaves
  • 1810 died unmarried
  • in his will, he left
    • to nephew Isaac Ball - Limerick and its 283 slaves
    • to brother John Ball - Pimlico, Kecklico and Mepshew plantations
