- his cousin (Elias Ball of Wambaw Plantation) was an English sympathizer, so after the war, he forfeited his land and slaves and fled to England ; this Elias bought 100 of his slaves
- 1786 - his father dies and he inherits Limerick and Comingtee plantations and 62 slaves from Kensington Plantation
- after the war, he settled on Limerick Plantation
- early 1800s - purchased Pimlico and Keckliko plantations
- by 1805 - owned at least 500 slaves
- 1810 died unmarried
- in his will, he left
- to nephew Isaac Ball - Limerick and its 283 slaves
- to brother John Ball - Pimlico, Kecklico and Mepshew plantations
