    Eliezer (Eleazer) Slason, born February 9, 1642/3, at Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Became one of the original patentees of Bedford, Westchester County, New York, and resided there although he never gave up his holdings in Stamford. … Returned to Stamford about 1697, where he died in May 1698.

    Eleazer Slawson, s. of George. Born abt. 1641, d. at Stamford abt. May 1698. … On 6 June 1692, Eleazer, ae. 51, testified in favor of the accused witch, Elizabeth Clawson, that he had lived her near neighbor for may years, and always observed her to be a woman for peace, and without malice. Will 29 Apr. 1698, proved 22 Jan. 1699; son Eleazer; dau. Martha; three younger sons; wife; twenty barrels of cider at Huntington; son James to administer, with assistance of his uncle John Slawson and Mr. David Waterbury as overseers. Inv. 27 May 1698. On 20 Dec. 1717, Ebenezer and Nathaniel Slawson of Stamford receipted to bro. James for portion in Est. of father and mother Eleazer and Susannah Slawson.

  3. Note that Jacobus' abstract of Eleazer's will does not mention the alleged daughter Susanna who is presented, by Slawson, as the Susanna who married Samuel Hoyt the blacksmith.
