[From Tolman's original manuscript:] Children of Josiah Wheeler and Mary Lee: 9) Eleanor, b. 20 Nov 1762, d. 2 Feb 1780.
As cited, TolmanS2 lists a daughter Eleanor in this family, but no Helen. Source:Wheeler, Albert Gallatin. Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America, p. 150, matches the Concord BirthsS1, in giving a daughter Helen and no Eleanor. Tolman referenced the father's will, though no abstract or transcription is given. It is possible that the will used the name Eleanor instead of Helen. Given the fact that the two birth dates are identical except for the last digit of the year, it would appear, without having access to the original records, that Tolman's book possibly miscopied the year of the birth date. (Ironically, Tolman was the chief compiler of the Concord Births which was published about 15 years before his manuscript on the Wheelers. The presumption is that the Concord Births was a group project and probably had more rigorous proof-reading, and that if Tolman had later found an error, he would have given some indication of it.)
