Ronald Henderson at Eleanor's memorial service: "Since our Mother's death, when Eleanor & I were children, many of our aunts took a hand at various times in raising us. Eleanor's strong connection to the family went beyond pictures & stories. She was determined that these aunties who helped raise us would not be left alone in their final years. She lived with our aunt Emy Lou for at least ten years before Emy Lou's passing."
