Eleanor V. (Garrett) Dherit, 70, formerly of North York, died at 1:10 p.m. Monday at Rest Haven York, where she resided the past year. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Dherit Jr.
The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 947 N. George St., York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. The Heffner Funeral Home-North York, 1223 N. George St., York is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Dherit was born in Hanover. She was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Margaret S. (Crumrine) Garrett.
She retired in 1985 after 16 years as a purchasing agent for Rest Haven York. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and former member of the church choir. She was a charter member of the White Rose Business Women's Association.
Mrs. Dherit is survived by a son, Michael D. Dherit of Manchester; a daughter, Susan M. Raffensberger of Dover; four grandchildren; a brother, Walter C. Garrett of Tacoma, Wash.; and two sisters, Frances Loss and Mari E. Garrett, both of Hanover.
Officiating at the service will be her pastors, the Revs. David J. Hoh and Paul K. Englehart.
