LETTER FROM CZECHOSLOVAKIA (apparently just before he came home from Europe in WWII. I believe the war was over by May 24.) "May 24, 1945 Czechoslovakia Dear Lois and Stub: How is everything going with you? Fine, I hope. We haven't been doing a lot lately. It's been rainy and cold the last few days and I don't think much of that kind of weather while we're living in pup tents. It's bad enough when your in buildings. We got a keg of beer today but it's too cold to drink it. The beer over here is a lot like water anyway. Is there anything new going on around town? Is it any different since the curfew lifted or does anything stay open that late? Maybe the town will have come to life before I get there because I aim to have a good party or two. Well, that's about all for now, so I'll close.
