Pat Small wrote - In 1790 Edward Wells lived in Wells, ME. In about 1801 Jonas Wells was born in the Norway, Waterford, ME area. I believe his parents might have been Edward Wells and Jane Stevens. I have not been able to find this marriage or birth. History of Norway, ME shows that Jane Stevens, dau of Jonas, married an Edward Wells. History of Gorham, NH says that Jonas was from the Norway Waterford area. Can't quite tie it all together. Any help would be most appreciated.
