Notes

Edward Stratton, Jr. married Martha Shippey, daughter of Thomas and Martha (Brown) Shippey. She was his step-sister, as Edward Stratton, Sr. had married Martha (Brown) Shippey after the death of Thomas Shippey, Sr. Among their issue were Prudence and Edward III who married Martha Cox.
