Edward lived at Moat Farm in Ash, Kent. He was the primary beneficiary and executor of his father’s will, suggesting that his older brother Peter was physically or mentally incapable of serving as head of the family. Edward’s children (Francis, Thomas, Alice, Joel, Susan, Sarah and Martha) are all named in his brother Richard’s will.
