Edward Moomaugh Died of cancer on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 at his home in Palm Springs, California.
Born Edward Justice Moomaugh on August 16th, 1937, in Billings, Montana, he earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho, where he also played collegiate football and basketball. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Education from Michigan State University. Mr. Moomaugh was a prominent industrial arts teacher in the Tacoma Public School District for 38 years. In addition to teaching Driver's Education, he was a highly respected industrial arts teacher at Henry Foss High School, where he taught since its opening in 1973. He also served as a mentor and role model for many of his students. During summers and on weekends, Ed worked as an independent contractor, remodeling and repairing residential and commercial properties throughout the Puget Sound area. He retired and spent his last years in Palm Springs with his family by his side.
He is survived by sons Jeff Moomaugh (Japan) and Matthew Moomaugh (California) and grandson, Jac Norvell (Alaska). He was married to Judith Kay Moomaugh for thirty-three years. Preceding him in death were his daughter Stacia Moomaugh Norvell, former wife Michele Mayer Moomaugh, and wife Judith Kay Moomaugh. No services are planned at this time.
