'EDWARD MARTIN, of Devonshire, perhaps of Bicton, married there 14 June 1632, JUDITH UPHAM, daughter of Richard Upham of Bicton. Richard Upham, who was buried at Bicton, 19 Dec. 1635, wrote his will one week earlier, naming among other children and grandchildren, his daughter, Judith Martin, her husband, Edward Martin, and their child, John Martin.'

↑ He has been conflated with Edward Martyn, son of William Martyn of Exeter (possibly by OneWorldTree and then copied by others). While it is not impossible that they were the same person, I haven't seen anything published that suggests they were the same person.
