The birth certificate says Minor and Maud lived in Denver. The death certificate says Minor is from Bennett. Should check Bennett paper for info. also Denver papers. Dad talked often of going up Pikes Peak. I wonder if Dad and Mom were on a vacation and something happened to Mom's pregnancy.

I was too young to remember many of the details, but Mom, Dad and I were in Colorado. We were staying at a house. Maybe it was the home of one of their friends from seminary days. I don't know. There was some sort of celebration. The cars had crepe paper laced through the spokes. Little flags and crepe paper were attached to the MotoMeter, if they had one, or to the radiator ornament. It may have been Memorial Day, that was a patriotic as well as memorial day in those days, or it may have been Fourth of July. Dad and I, and maybe Mom, but I don't remember her being there, visited Edward's grave. I remember holding Dad's right hand. There was only a little tin marker for his grave. Dad said that stones were not allowed. Clarence told me he remembered being in Colorado, but that he did not remember going to the cemetery. I do not remember that we went to the cemetery for the specific purpose of seeing Edward's grave. [There may be something about "the Hickmans are visiting in Colorado" in the local Kansas newspaper of that time. That would probablyhave been Ness City ]
