BIOGRAPHY: The following 3 items are excerpts from a letter by Nellie A GARD to Howard & Lynn Camp dated 29 Dec 1970:

BIOGRAPHY: Edward CAMP from David GARD - Vol 25, pp. 241: Indenture made 15 Dec 1834 between David GARD and wife Mary GARD and Edward CAMP for $25 to them paid - that certain tract of land lying in Town #8, Range #11, containing 3 acres and 32 rods on south line of Lot #1065, Sect #2 made before Hiram GARD, a Justice of the Peace.

BIOGRAPHY: Hiram GARD to Edward CAMP - Vol 30, pp. 152: Hiram GARD of Roxbury, Washington County, OH for $62.50 paid to me by Edward CAMP of Roxbury 5 Sep 1837, containing 5 acres and 26 1/2 rods beginning at a stake 52 rods east of the S.W. corner of 160 acre lot #1065 etc.

BIOGRAPHY: Johnson (HIETT & HIATT) says Edward CAMP settled 4 Miles S. E. of Vincent. I was sure he was incorrect for that would be probably in what was originally Warren Township and in 1855 became Dunham Township. Vincent is in the lower part of Barlow Township. I have known all that area and the names of the more important people living there all my life. The above deeds prove that Edward and Rowena CAMP lived very close to David GARD in Roxbury, now Palmer Township.

BURIAL: Shockeyville Cemetery, Shockeyville, Grant County, Kansas. USA
