Edward Bruder had a difference of 2 months for his birth date because the Dr. that delivered him did not file the birth right away. Edward had to correct this in later years. This info. is from Ambrose Bruder (June 2004). Newspaper Clipping dated February 14, 1996- Obituary ( received from Ambrose & Evelyn Bruder, copy in my possession) EDWARD L. BRUDER, 73 Edward L. Bruder, 73, a Kamiah, ID, resident, died at his home Thursday, Feb, 8, of causes related to cancer. Edward was born Nov. 8, 1922, at Long Prairie, MN, to August and Ruth Stephan Bruder. He was inducted into the Army on Nov. 27, 1944, and served until 1946. He received his training in Oklahoma. He also served at Okinawa. Edward married Juanita Shook on April 12, 1947, at Long Prairie, MN. They farmed for 25 years in Minnesota, during this time he also drove milk truck. moving to Kamiah in October 1972. He was employed at Clearwater Forest Industries in Kooskia until retiring in 1990. Edward was a member of the Kamiah Lyons-Dahl VFW Post #5407. Edward's main enjoyment was being with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing. Edward is survived by his wife at their Kamiah home; two sons, James Bruder of Kamiah, and Neal Bruder of Green River, WY; six daughters, Sharlee Heckmaster of Eagle Bend, MN, Nancy Merritt of Long Prairie, MN, Jill Allgier of Kamiah, Peggy Alvarez of Green River, WY, Anita Allgier of Everett, WA, and Shelly West of Kamiah; two brothers, Ambrose Bruder and Emil Bruder, both of Long Prairie, MN; three sisters, Isabelle Becker of Long Prairie, MN, Bernice Miller of Browerville, MN and Leona Bluhm of Rock Falls, IL; and 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, Kathleen. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Trenary Funeral Chapel at Kooskia. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Kamiah, with military rites following at the church. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to St. Catherine's Church, P O Box 685, Kamiah, ID 83536-0685. Trenary Funeral Home in Kooskia is in charge of the arrangements. References
