Facts and Events
Edward Isaac Blum graduated from the City College of New York in 1896. He then graduated from Columbia University in 1898. Edward Blum attended the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris, France in 1906. There is some question as whether he graduated from this school. He formed a partnership with his brother, George, also an architect in New York. Their office was on Fifth Avenue. He designed the County Court House in New York City, the Union Theological seminary and the Capitol Building in Puerto Rico, in additon to large apartment buildings in New York City. In 1930, Edward Isaac Blum and his family were living in the apartment building at 940 Park Avenue, Manhattan, New York City. Also in the same building was Lucille Miller Watters, sister of Irene Miller Blum, her husband, William G. Watters, and their family. References
