Mrs. Alie Pine's home was the scene of a very pretty wedding Sunday when her second daughter, Edna, was united in marriage to Hobart Garwood, Jr., oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Garwood. Rev. Chas. Pearson of the Friends church, read the service in the presence of the immediate families. The bride wore a becoming gown of light blue crepe with silver trimming. Her bridesmaid, Irene McIntyre, wore a crepe, wine colored gown. Howard Cummins acted as best man. Following the service a wedding dinner was served by the bride's mother assisted by her daughter, Ruby. The bride's table, seating ten guess, had the bride's cake for a centerpiece. This was beautifully decorated with pink and green. This color scheme was carried out in the ice cream. Mrs. Garwood graduated from the Stuart High School in the Class of 1931. She was born and raised in Stuart. Mr. Garwood has always lived in this vicinity but in the last few years has been farming north of town where he will take his bride. They have many friends here who congratulate them with the best of wishes. The groom's grandmother, Mrs. Arrowsmith, was also present at the wedding.
