The information I have is from Linda Alexander Hahn, a granddaughter, and from Jeanette A. Jones. Her birth certificate was lost in the San Francisco earthquake fires in 1906. Edna Mary O'Neil was adopted shortly after her birth in San Francisco, California and her name became Calderwood. She married Frank Earl (Gonzalez) Mitchell. The name Gonzalez was Americanized to Mitchell. She had a child, Frank Earl Mitchell, Jr. in Salinas, California and became widowed after about 4 years of marriage. She married a 2nd time to James Albert Alexander in about 1927. After Albert's retirement they moved to Kerrville, Texas in the hope that her asthma would be improved by the climate. After her husband's death she moved back to Van Nuys to be near her family. She died of a heart attack. She asked that she be cremeated when she died and she is buried in Van Nuys, California.
