Book--Richardson,Hartley,Arender,and Related Families. ! 2. 1827 Lawrence County,Ms--March 10th- license to marry: Phebe Richardson and Edmunson Parkman. ! 3. 1840 Census--Scott County,Mississippi--Pg.202 E. Parkman 0000001 - 1002001 Does Not Fit Well! ! 4. Scott County Ms. Census-- 1841 & 1845 List Edmon & Edmundson Parkman. ! 5. 1850, 1860, & 1870 Census-- Scott County,Ms.--Phebe Parkman listed as head of house. Note the ages of her children born between 1840 & 1850 and between 1850 and 1860. Also in the 1870 Census a Child Letha Parkman is listed Born 1868 MS, so where is Ed? ! 6. 1822 Lawrence County,MS. Tax Roll--Edmondson Parkman of Whitesand but not in the 1825 or 1829 tax roll. ! 7. I note with interest in the 1820 Lawrence Co. Census a William Parkman with a son 16/26 in age. This could be Edmonson's Father. I also note that in the 1830 Lawrence Co., Census there is a Joseph Parkman age 50/60. His will only mentions one son Joseph Jr. ! 8. Lawrence Co.,MS. Records--have only a few "Parkman"s --1.Joseph and his wife, along with 7 daughters and one son listed in his will. 2.William and 6 unknown males,3 unknown females. ALSO Mastin, Littleton, Edmondson, and Cranshaw. The Ealiest ones in Lawrence Co. is-- 1820 Cranshaw sold land. 1820 Census List William and his household. 1822 Taxes being paid by Joseph, Littleton, and Edmondson. Range and Townships of land put Cranshaw southern part of the Co., Mastin in the center, and all the rest in Range 19 and Townships 7 and 6 in the eastern part of the county. ! 9. History for Joseph Parkman has his Parents as Mercy Minter (Jones) and Henry Parkman Jr. Joseph's Wife was Suannah Boyd D/O Edumnd Boyd and Susannah Thurman. All were from Edgefield District, S.C. and He may have been in Tenn. for a period of time as well as being in Madison Co.,Ala. before moving to Lawrence Co.,Ms. in about 1818/1819. |
