Edmund Towne (Ephraim 4, John 3, Jacob 2, William 1), b. at Oxford, Aug. 19, 1724; married Abagail, dau. of Jonathan Brewer, of Framingham. She was bapt. March 29, 1724. In March, 1756, he was described as " of Fort Massachusetts," purchasing of David Brewer, son of Jonathan, deceased, a piece of land in New Framingham, being Lot No. 9. The following year, he sold the land for the same price he had paid, L19, 19s., 11d.
