Edith was a member of the Bargersville Lodge, F. & A. M. Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Huguenot Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved maps and had a large collection. On the wall above her kitchen table was a huge World Map that she studied while she ate.

(Medical):Before Christmas in 1974 Edith requested that my mother, Margaret Glassburn Minnemeyer, make sure that all the Grand and Great Grandchildren attend the Minnemeyer Family Christmas because it would be her last one. Two days later (in the early morning) she was found by her daughter, Ravena, Margaret, and Grandson, Ben unconcious in her home. Ravena had called, and receiving no answer, knew something was wrong. Edith never fully recovered and died in a Nursing Home in Greenwood.

Edith loved maps. She had several she kept in her chair side table and would just pull one out and study it for hours. She also had a hugh map of the United States on the wall above her kitchen table.
