Obituary

Mrs. Edith E. Jones Mrs. Edith E. Jones, 93, of 1820 Overton, Independence, died Friday at a nursing home at 1500 N. Liberty. She was born in Kingston, Mo., and had lived most of her life in the Greater Kansas City area. She was a retired employee of the Jones Store Company. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Independence. She was a member of the Order of the Easter Star of Gat City. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Essie Mae Burgess of the home, a great grandchild and a great-great grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Carson Independence Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the chapel.
