Franklin - Edgar Judson Queen, 95, of Middle
Burningtown Road, Franklin, passed away Wednesday,
Nov. 3, 2004, at a local nursing home.
He was a native of Macon County, the son of the late
Thomas H. and Mamie Icenhower Queen. He was first
married to Maude Roper Queen, who passed away in 1987,
and second to Willa Mae Childers Queen, who passed
away in 2002. He was a heavy equipment operator and
was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Pauline Trivette and
her husband, Harold, of Lexington and Betty Jo Parrish
of Franklin; two sons, Bill Queen and his wife,
Margaret, of Franklin and Ted Queen and his wife,
Sandra, of Franklin; one brother, Cecil Queen of
Cherryville; and 12 grandchildren, 17
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He
was preceded in death by a son, Jack Queen.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in
the Chapel of Bryant Funeral Home with the Revs. John
Raby and Randy Drinnon officiating. Burial will be in
Roper Cemetery. Rickey Queen, Shannon Gibson, Jamey
Mathis, Gary Parrish, Steve Queen, and Marty Queen
will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
charity of one's choice.
Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
