From Huntington, Massachusetts: 1862 Eber Knight Volunteer aid $4.00 1873 Eber Knight Town paid $7.50 for his medical attendance 1874 Eber Knight bought house from Andrew F. Strong. Nancy lived here until she moved to Easthampton to die in 1906. The barn fell in 1909 and the house itself fell in 1918. (according to assessors records)

Hampshire Post, February 22, 1854 - Hampshire County Items - Eber Knight, of Westhampton, was arranged before Justice Walls on Wednesday, the 8th inst. for an assault upon his brother-in-law, Geo. B. Frisbie. Eber, who is a man of 45, had been sleigh-riding with his wife, a girl of 15 and stopped at her father's, by which time he was so essentially corned, having three gallons of liquor in his sleigh, that she refused to go home with him. He went away, but came back after the family retired; was admitted, and became so abusive that his father-in-law and the complainant attempted to eject him from the home. During the struggle the assault took place - Knight was fined $2 and costs, for want of which he was committed.

Hampshire Gazette, May 3, 1870 - Northampton, Massachusetts E. J. Burt of Westhampton, was before Justice Copeland last Saturday, for an assault on the wife and little boy of Eber Knight. He was found guilty and fined $4.00. Council for the prosecution, R. H. Lathrop, for the defense, Boise and Smith.

Hampshire Gazette, March 11, 1884 - Huntington - Eber Knight an old man nearly 80, who has been partly supported by the town for a number of years, has been granted a pension of $8 per month and back pay, amounting to about $2,000.
