Woodruff, Ebenezer, Southington. Invt. £2103-11-10. Taken 20 May, 1747, by Samuel Root, Nathaniel Gridley and Jarad Lee. Will dated 15 April, 1747.
I, Ebenezer Woodruff of Southington, in Farmingtown, in the County of Hartford, do make this my last will and testament: Unto my wife Esther Woodruff I give 1-3 part of my moveable estate forever, and the use of 1-3 part of my real estate during her natural life. Unto my daughter Sarah Woodruff I give £500 of money, old tenor. To my only son Asa Woodruff I give all the residue and remainder of my whole estate, real and personal, lands, tenements, hereditaments, goods and chattels that I have not already given unto my wife and daughter. And I, Ebenezer Woodruff, appoint my brother Hezekiah Woodruff to be sole executor.

Court Record, Page 39—2 June, 1747: The last will and testament of Ebenezer Woodruff, late of Farmingtown, was now exhibited in Court by Hezekiah Woodruff, executor, who also exhibited an inventory. Both accepted, ordered recorded and kept on file.
Page 102—6 June, 1749: Sarah Woodruff, a minor, age 15 years, daughter of Ebenezer Woodruff, chose Mr. Thomas Hart of Farmington to be her guardian. Recog., £1000."
