Dugald John Bannatyne was b. 20 nov 1805 at Gorbals, son of Dugald Bannatyne and Agnes Stirling. Agnes was presumably daughter of William Stirling (b.1717), calico printer. Agnes was b. 14oct1763 at Glasgow, daughter of William Stirling and Mary Buchanan (IGI).
