Duane Reo Steward

Duane Reo Steward, 77, of East Jones Street, Fostoria, died at 4 p.m. Tues day, Nov. 16, 2004, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin, after a short ill ness.

He was born May 20, 1927, in Fostoria, to Reo and Hazel (Krouse) Stewar d. His wife, Vella I. (Bingle) Steward, whom he married June 6, 1948, in F remont, survives in Fostoria. Other survivors include: sons, Wm Steward of Columbus and Lee (Pam) S teward of Fostoria; daughters, Ruth Ann (Robert) Ramirez of Fostoria, Ali ce (George) Couch of Findlay, Patricia (Gary) Brady of Fostoria, Donna (Ri chard) Persing of Goshen, Ind. and Elizabeth Raikes of Murray, Ky.; 21 gra ndchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

His parents, brother, Raymond Steward and grandchild, Denise Steward prece ded him in death.

Mr. Steward, a retired self-employed farmer and auto mechanic, was the for mer owner and operator of Steward and Son Garage in Fostoria. Prior to th at he worked as an airplane mechanic at Metcalf Field in Toledo. A U.S. Ar my Veteran, he attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Fostoria.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at the Harrol d-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria, with the Rev. Robert Chew and the Re v. Rene' Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostor ia, where the Joint Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military honors.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home.
