(NKP) · Dorothy died of cancer that was originally diagnosed as cancer of the breast in about 1958. The search for cure included radiation therapy at hospitals in California, and divine intervention through Oral Roberts ministries. · Dorothy and Arvey did not have any children. My childhood memories of their apartments in Pueblo were of one near the old first Baptist Church and the other closer to where the freeway runs now. Dorothy had a small figurine of a black leopard on the coffee table and oriental figurines on a glass-backed curio shelf that fascinated me. When she gave me crayons and a coloring book she encouraged me to color within the lines (NKP). She graduated from Crowley County High School. Before her marriage she was employed at the Pueblo office of Mountain States Telephone Co. She was a Pueblo resident for 10 years. She moved to Long Beach in 1956. She died at age 32. |
