Mrs. Dorothy Wade, 85, died at 10:08 p.m. Monday in Bee Country Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dave Gallaher officiating. Burial will follow in Beenville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kinkler Handly, Calvin Mickler, Faires Wade, Bill Newsom, L. D. Hunter, J. B. Vanhooser, Ray Duhon and Jeff Arnold. Honorarypallbearers will be Teal Adkins, Capt Bob Ferguson, Mariod Young and Jon Newton. Mrs. Wade was born April 28, 1906, in Rockwall to Madge (Benbrook), and Walter Dumas. She married Reese D. Wade on June 23, 1929, in Rockwall. He preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1975. A resident of Beeville since 1935, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was pianist for many years. She was a member and past president of the Rosetta Club and a member of the Beta and Wednesday Lucheon clubs. She served on the board of directors of the Bee County public Library and was a volunteer with the Community Concert Association. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bill of Beeville, Mrs. Virginia Cluck of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Anna Gray Bray of Teague; a brother, Jack Dumas of Greenville; and eight nieces and nephews.
