I saw your posting about Adolph Roemer and went to the http://www.buffalonews.com website to search in their death notices archive for any Roemers. I knew Adolph would NOT be there because he died in 1984 and their archives only go back a few years but sometimes you can find family members that way... There was a death notice for a "Doris L. Roemer" and the first couple of sentences mentioned that she was married to the late Adolph J. Roemer. She died on March 21, 2002 in East Aurora, N.Y. which is in Erie County and the death notice was in the Buffalo News on March 22, 2002. I then went to the Social Security Death Index which showed her date of birth as being Sept. 18, 1916. Therefore, if your Adolph Roemer was born around 1914, it would seem logical that this could have been her husband since they were about the same age and both died in Erie County. The obit gave names of a couple of the surviving children also since you were looking for living relatives. Now, I did not pay the $1.95 to get the whole death notice for you but what I was able to read for free did look promising. Hope this helps you in some way and I hope I have the right Roemers.
