Bio: Dora E. Flowers age 84, of Kenton died on Sun. Oct. 23, 2016 at Hardin Hills Health Center. On Sept. 7, 1932, she was born to the late Thomas and Mildred (Carson) Clark. She married Glenn (Posie) E. Flowers on Feb. 12, 1954; he preceded her in death on July 1, 2012. She is survived by sons Daryl (Kathy) Flowers, Jerry (JoDene) Flowers, Steve (Tina) Flowers all of Kenton, Kim (Kimberly) Flowers, NC, 9 grandchildren Lynn (Mike Brim) Flowers, Mark (Sheri) Flowers, Todd Flowers, Diane (Ryan) Klenke, Gail Flowers, Matthew Flowers (Ryan) , Sarah (Chris) Milne, Hannah Flowers and Nolon Flowers, 7 great grandchildren Sage Flowers, Grayson Brim, Wyatt Flowers, Abigail Flowers, Kate and Jack Klenke and Tanner Flowers. She is preceded in death by her son, Dennis Flowers, and step-sisters Carolyn Beach and Elgene Herman. Dora was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Victory High School and a graduate of Rhodes State College. Dora and Posie farmed together for many years. Dora owned an upholstering business and was an independent accountant and tax preparer for various businesses as well as individuals serving the community for 50 years.Dora was a member of Walnut Grove Church, Goshen Grange, Daughters of the American Revolution, Blue Star Mothers, Hardin County Genealogy and served on the board for preserving the Armory. Dora was also co-founder of the Grange Restaurant at the Hardin County Fair. Her hobbies were gardening, canning and genealogy along with volunteering throughout the community. Funeral services will be held on Fri. Oct. 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Jeff Waite officiating. Interment will follow at Otterbein Cemetery, Mt. Victory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thurs. Oct. 27, 2016 from 2-4:00 pm to 6-8:00 p.m. Memorials contributions may be made to the Goshen Grange Scholarship Fund in care of Pam Bramble, 63 Broadway, Kenton OH 43326 or to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church at 13502 Twp Rd 80, Kenton, Ohio 43326 or to a charity of choice.
