DAVENPORT - Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Donna L. McCarthy, 65, a resident of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Donna died Monday, October 17, 2005, at Genesis East Medical Center. Donna Lee Jaros was born March 16, 1940, in Davenport, the daughter of Anthony F. and Leona B. (Allar) Jaros. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy, Davenport, in 1958. Donna married David McCarthy May 21, 1960, in Davenport. He preceded her in death August 24, 1970. She was a department manager for the Bettendorf K Mart Store. Her memberships included St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Rhythm City Casino with friends and family. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy McCarthy, Davenport; a son, Robert (Cheryl) McCarthy, Durant, Iowa; grandchildren, Megan and Ryan McCarthy; a sister, Mary Ann Jaros, Davenport; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Mary Ellen Jaros.
