- ↑ "Donald R. Hartsel, age 90, of Canton, passed away Saturday at St. LukeśLutheran Community after a brief illness. Mr. Hartsel was born Feb. 13,1913 to the late, Clarence and Amy Hartsel. He was a life resident ofCanton. A 1931 graduate of McKinley High School. He was a member of OurLady of Peace Catholic Church. A retired employee of Republic Steelwhere he was employed for 42 years as a General Foreman. Besides hisparents he was preceded in death by his wife, Verna, who passed awaySept. 9, 2000; daughter-in-law, Annmarie Hartsel; two sisters and onebrother. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Gerald Hartselof Ft. Worth, TX, and Gordon "Corky" and Sandra Hartsel of North Canton;and one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Donald Seelman of Columbus,OH; four grandchildren, Nicole of Ft. Worth, TX, Justin of Washington,DC, Christopher and Julia of North Canton; and special caregivers, CarolCole and Jenny Daniels. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8pm atthe Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sungWednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr.John Nentwick as celebrant. Interment will be in Sunset Hills BurialPark."
