Donald developed Epilepsy at a very young age. His care was a challenging job for the family. The medication that was available then was limited. He died due to a bowel blockage thought to have been caused perhaps by one of his seizures. The doctor attempted surgery, but infection had already set in and he was unable to correct the problem since there were not anti-biotics at that time. He was only 27 years old when he died.
