Racine Journal-Times, Sep 2012: DONALD J. BEEGLE Lake Hallie-- Donald Jay Beegle, 76, passed away at his home September 2nd 2012. He was born In Racine WI. July 22nd 1936 the son of Lida and Jay Beegle. Don married Nancy Kohl in Racine in 1955 and they had seven children. Don was married to his second wife Sue Bishop and they had three children. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter in which he earned himself a set of antlers that was featured in Davey Crockett sports magazine. He was a friend to everyone, easy to talk to, always smiling, enjoyed drinking coffee and talking to anyone and everyone. His other hobbies included wood furniture making and was an excellent wood carver in which he loved to carve nature and western figures. Don became a second generation professional welder and fabricator. He owned and operated Interstate Welding and Fabricating and in 1975 his family and his business moved up to Nelson, WI and after retiring he moved to Lake Hallie WI. Don was a proud and loving father. Survivors include his wife Sue Beegle; His children Kim (Scott) Hart, Sally (Jim) McKellips, Buddy Beegle, all Of Racine; Sandy (Dave) Reid of Birnamwood WI, Elizabeth Beegle Rosa of Racine, WI, David (Nancy) Beegle of Racine, Shar Bishop of Jefferson, WI and Donna (Archie) Shoemaker of Drummond WI. Three step children, Michelle Erdmann of Virginia, Roger Bishop of La Crosse, WI and Sondie (Bob) Skweres of Drummond WI. And many, many, many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard; his sisters Leona and Beverly; his son Mickey; and his daughter Alanna... Services will be held at [Purath-Strand] Funeral Home, Saturday, September 8th 2012...
