Dick Edward Tullis March 08, 1918 - April 11, 2001 Visitation: April 14, 2001 Service: April 14, 2001 Cemetery: David's Cemetery Dick Edward Tullis of Dayton, died April 11, 2001, at the age of 83. He was the son of the late King and Ethel Tullis. Mr. Tullis was a member of the Southern Hills United Methodist Church, and up to the time of his death served on the Building Committee which oversaw the recent renovation of the church. A native of Dayton, Mr. Tullis was a graduate of Fairmont High School and the University of Cincinnati, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He served as an Infantry Captain in the Pacific during World War II. He was co-founder of Radiant Engineering Co. and Main Line Supply Co. of Dayton, retiring in 1982, and was past president of the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers. Additionally, he served as a board member for the Yorkfellow Retreat Center and the Miami Valley Golf Club. He was also very active in Little League Baseball, coaching for many years. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 58 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Tom Elliott of Ridgefield, CT and their sons Matthew and Michael; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Vicki (Pancero) Tullis of Cincinnati and their children, Melissa, Alison, and Barrett; Scott and Jan (Fisher) Tullis of Portland, OR and their children, Jonathan and Sari; and a sister, Jeannine Ruch of Easton, CT. The Rev. Lisa C. Ellison will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Southern Hills United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to his memory may be made to the Southern Hills United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2287 S. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45409 or Hospice of Dayton, P.O.
