Facts and Events
Dianah Rector's history is well set out in The Germanna Record, No. 4 and5, which takes her Rector/Richter and Fischbach family lines back to Tylvan Fispe in the Nassau-Siegen area of the German Palatinate in thefifteenth, and sixteenth centuries. Her mother is believed to be Ann"Nancy" Spencer because, as was the custom of the period to give a sonthe maiden name of the mother, Henry and Ann Rector named a son "Spencer"and the name was carried down for a number of generations. The GermannaRecord No. 4, page 13, paragraph (7), contains the indication that Ann,wife of Henry Rector, might be the sister or daughter of James Spencer ofPrince William County, Virginia. References
