1. ↑ Dessie E. Gass, 94, of Imlay City passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 surrounded by her family at home.
   
   Dessie Eudora DeCamp was born on October 7, 1914. She was the daughter of Hugh and Celia DeCamp. She lived most of her life in the Imlay City/Attica area. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School class of 1932.
   
   Dessie was a member of First Baptist Church of Imlay City, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was owner/agent of DeCamps Insurance Agency in Imlay City for 46 years.
   
   Dessie is survived by granddaughter, Jeanie (Gary) Bowlsby of Attica; her great-granddaughter, Amanda Walker of Attica; and very special caregivers, Elizabeth Schutz and Cody Titsworth. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gass; her daughter, Karen Walker; her parents, Hugh and Celia DeCamp, and sister Geraldine Shadko.
   
   Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 7 at First Baptist Church in Imlay City. Pastor Gary Freel and Pastor Donald Keller will officiate. Friends may call at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City where the family will be available for visiting 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.
