Mr. C. Desmar Way September 23, 2007 10:22 PM BURLINGTON — Mr. C. Desmar Way, 95, of 1748 E. Webb Ave., died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Clara Bowman Way, who survives, and the son of the late Arthur Manuel Way and the late Eula Mae Rich Way. Mr. Way was retired from Burlington Industries, having worked at the J. Spencer Love Center and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon. In addition to his wife, of the home, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Poe and her husband, Richard, of Haw River; two grandchildren, Donna Snotherly and her husband, Russell, Ricky Poe and his wife, Sandi; and three great-grandchildren, Kathryn Snotherly, Brandon Snotherly and Chole Poe. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Alma Longest and Mrs. Elsie Ivey; and three brothers, John Way, Ed Way and Lloyd Way. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be the Rev. Terry Huffines. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6 until 8 at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham. Other times they will be at the residence.
