Facts and Events
Name[1] Della A. JOHNSON
Gender Female
Birth[1] 3 Sep 1870 Grand Rapids, Wood, Ohio
Marriage 28 Nov 1887 , Wood, Ohioto Allen Elroy Miller
Death? 7 May 1915 Washington, Henry, Ohio
Burial? 10 May 1915 New Weston Cemetery, Weston, Ohio

Della's youngest children were Guy Earnest b. 2-18-1912 and his twin that died at birth. Della's daughter Nora Johnson gave birth to Lee Everett on 1-16-1912. Lee states in an E-mail on 4-16-01 that Nora his mother nursed him and Guy at the same time. This has led other relatives and me to believe that Della died giving birth or shortly afterwards. Mary Meach McMorgan also believes that Della died giving birth. Marie Meach Thompson told me on the phone on 6-22-01 that Della died shortly after giving birth to the twins. She died in Providence TWP, Ohio by Grand Rapids, Ohio. She remembers going there by horse and buggy. She told me that Della is buried next to her mother in an unmarked grave. There is a burial record for a Della A. Miller on 5-10-1915 in the New Weston Cemetery. If this is Della, both her and Allen are in unmarked graves. Mary Meach McMorgan told me that they are both buried in Weston. Della spells her name Johnson some times and Johnston other times. I resently received Della's death certificate in the mail. It states that she died in Washington TWP. Henry Co. Ohio. 44 yrs. old. Witnessed by A. Miller of Grand Rapids, Ohio. I visited the Weston Library. They had an obit for an Abella Miller. Well it should read Adella Miller. This is Della. The obit states she died on May 7, 1915 at 45 years old. Her husband was Allen and their marriage date matched. So Della, and Allen's father Alfred died the same year. There are 3 grave sites where Eliza Johnson is buried. She has a marker with an readable one to the left with what appears to say Johnson, and an unmarked one. Della appears in the 1880 census with her family. My thanks to Mary and Marie Meech for all their information and help. The 1900 census states that 2 of her children are already dead.

Ancestral file has birthplace of Weston, Wood, Ohio
