November 21, 1896 Carleton Sentinel - Woodstock d. Newburg Junction (Carleton Co.) Nov. 12th., Mrs Delilah Downey, age 35 years 10 mos., leaving a husband and two children, Nellie Downey, age 9 years and an infant daughter three weeks of age. The funeral was attended by Rev. J.W. S. Young, who some eleven years ago this month performed the marriage ceremony; some eighteen years ago baptized her when she joined the Second Canterbury Baptist Church, (From Daniel Johnson Transcripts PANB)
