Dee Ann (Martens) Byrne

Junction City, KS — Dee Ann (Martens) Byrne, age 37 of Junction City, KS, formerly of New Hampton, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at her home.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in New Hampton.

Friends may greet the family from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Dee Ann was born on July 28, 1968, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, the daughter of Harlan and Darlene (Springer) Martens. She attended New Hampton Schools. On April 12, 1986, she married Jerry J. Byrne, Charles City. To this union two daughters were born.

The wife of a military man allowed Dee Ann to see much of the country while raising their two daughters. She especially enjoyed living by the ocean. Dee Ann was a loving mother and always made time to volunteer at their children's schools. She also had three Yorkshire Terriers who brought her great joy.

Survivors include her husband Jerry of Junction City, KS; two daughters, Nichole Byrne, Lawler and Pamela Byrne, Junction City, KS; her mother, Darlene Martens, New Hampton; one sister, Deb (Joe) Zubrod, Lawler; and one grandson, Taylor J.J. Byrne, Lawler. Preceding her in death was her father Harlan in 1991.
