Obituary (Piatt County Journal-Republican)

David E. Yockey, 83, Monticello died December 30, 1978 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Funeral services were held at Mackey Funeral Home with burial in Monticello cemetery. Military graveside rites were also held.

Mr. Yockey was born December 23, 1895 in Champaign County, a s/o Charles and Ruth Bond Yockey. He married Esta B. McFeeters January 27, 1921 in Monticello. She survives along with one son, Lyle, Monticello; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Dr. J. C. Yockey, Fond du Lac WI; and Cecil Yockey, Monticello.

Mr. Yockey was a retired maintenance worker at Sterling Drugs in Monticello and a veteran of World War I.
