Marriage Record (paraphrased)

License for marriage between 25 year old Mr. Charles Yockey of Savoy, Champaign, Illinois and 20 year old Miss Ruth Bond also of Savoy. This was witnessed by H M Clemllough (sp), County Clerk, at his office in Urbana on 12 Feb 1895.

On 13 Feb 1895, the marriage took place at the Bride's home in Champaign County, Illinois.

Review of the records (FamilySearch imagery) indicates that this was the only Yockey family in Monticello Township, excluding Monticello City.

(Head) Charles J Yockey, 40 year old male farmer born in Illinois.  His father was born in Germany and his mother in Illinois.
(Wife) Ruth B (Yockey), 34 year old female born in Illinois.  Her parents were both born in England.
     This is the first marriage for both Charles and Ruth, and they had been married for 15 years.  Ruth has had three children, all still alive.
(Son) David E (Yockey), 14 year old schoolboy born in Illinois and working on the family farm.  His parents were both born in Illinois.
(Son) John C (Yockey), 12 year old schoolboy born in Illinois and working on the family farm.  His parents were both born in Illinois.
(Son) Cecil B (Yockey), 8 year old schoolboy born in Illinois.  His parents were both born in Illinois.
(Servant) Lilly B Ford, 17 year old schoolgirl born in Illinois and doing housework for the fmaily.  Her father was born in Kentucky and mother in Ohio.

All members of the household were white. The family lived on a rented farm (farm schedule 126).
