Essex, about 1540, received £15 and certain farm stock and household goods, according to the will of his father in 1557 … He resided in Great Bromley where he was living as late as 1507; but as the burial registers of this parish are lost, and he left neither will nor administration, the time of his decease has not been learned. Except for the mentions of him in his father's will and in the parish registers of Great Bromley, but one other record of David stone has been brought to light, viz: a conveyance by him in 1591 of property in Great Bromley …
