Great Bromley is a village and civil parish in the Tendring District of Essex. It lies south of Manningtree and east of Colchester and includes the hamlets of Balls Green and Hare Green [both redirected here]. The A120 trunk road (with the A133 as a spur off it) cuts right through the middle of the parish.

The parish was part of the Tendring Rural District from 1894 until 1974, and since 1974 it has been located in the Tendring District of Essex.
