    David Stockton, who is thought to have been born about 1750, was a son of Richard and Agnes Stockton, Sr., of Albemarle County, Virginia. He married Margaret Haden. They had one child, Benjamin.

    Benjamin Stockton was the father of several children, including Douglas Hayden Stockton, Sr., born 26 July 1800.

    It appears that David Stockton died in about 1792.
