From the book: Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte: "David W. Robinson the eldest son, married Mary E. Jackson, a great granddaughter of Jacob Jackson, one of the earliest pioneer settlers on West Lake. Although his father did not engage in politics, David Robinson has been in the council for many years, and has been Reeve of his township and Warden of the County. He lives on the old homestead a short way from the village, and is worthily popular."
