Civil War 6th Cav (65th St. Troops) Co. F, B Sgt Cav. 7th Bn. Co. B Sgt The 6th regiment was organized in May 1861. It was sent to Virginia under General B.E.Bee, and was prominent at the battles of Seven Pines to Mine Run, and active in the battles of Plymouth, and Cold Harbour, and fought with Early in the Shenandoah Valley, and Appomattox. The regiment reported their casualties at the First Manassas, Seven Day's Battles, Second Manassas, Ox Hill in the Maryland campaign, Fredricksburg, Gettysburg, Rappahannock River, and Plymouth. |
